One museum, four continents!

At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the museum – designed by architect Jean Nouvel – invites you on a journey of discovery through the arts and civilisations of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas, thanks to the 3,500 works on display and a rich programme of temporary exhibitions.

You can also stroll through its two-hectare garden, designed by Gilles Clément – a veritable haven of greenery in the heart of Paris – browse the bookshop and gift shop, take a break at Café Jacques, or enjoy a tasting lunch or dinner at the panoramic restaurant Les Ombres, perched on the museum’s roof terrace.

Temporary exhibitions:

First Nations. Arts and Cultures of the North-West of America, from 29 September 2026 to 17 January 2027.

Spanning nearly 1,800 kilometres of coastline and across some forty languages, the First Nations of the American Northwest have made their art a sacred language, populated by spirits and totemic figures.

Booking a free time slot for this exhibition is compulsory. Please visit the Museum’s website and select “Museum Ticket + Access (exhibition name) – Other free admissions”.

Opening hours

Open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30 am to 7 pm and until 10 pm on Thursdays.
Closed on Mondays, 25 December and 1 May.
The museum gardens are open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.15 am to 7.30 pm and until 10.15 pm on Thursdays.
