About This Experience

Your experience

The Monnaie de Paris is considered to be one of the oldest companies in the world still in operation. Created in 864 by king Charles II - known as Charles the Bald – installed on the Quai de Conti in 1775, this French institution has been minting coins for more than 11 centuries. The factory is still in operation today and it is here that special and limited-edition pieces are produced, as well as French euros.

In 2017, this famous Parisian landmark opened its doors to a remarkable museum highlighting the arts and crafts of the Monnaie de Paris. Metalwork, treasures of the collections, techniques, and manufacturing know-how … As you visit the glass-roofed workshops, you will be able to discover all the secrets of the Monnaie de Paris, and much more.
