La Cinémathèque Française

The Cinémathèque Française is a veritable temple dedicated to the seventh art, offering an unforgettable experience to film lovers the world over.

La Cinémathèque Française

About This Experience

Nestling in the Bercy district of Paris, the Cinémathèque Française boasts an impressive collection of films, ranging from timeless classics to the most avant-garde contemporary works. Thousands of carefully preserved reels bear witness to the creative genius of legendary directors such as François Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, Agnès Varda and many others.

The Cinémathèque Française is not just a museum, it's also a unique projection space. The cinemas are equipped with the most advanced technology, giving you an incomparable cinematic experience. You can enjoy retrospectives dedicated to emblematic filmmakers, attend special screenings of carefully restored films and even take part in debates and lectures on the art of filmmaking.

Film workshops are organised for younger children, allowing them to discover the rudiments of filmmaking and express their creativity through the art of cinema. Adults can also take part in cinema and film analysis courses run by passionate experts.

The Cinémathèque Française is the place to be for all film buffs and the curious who want to delve into the history and art of the seventh art.
