Guided tour The French Revolution - Interkultur

About This Experience
Your experience
This tour in the Marais proposes to highlight the origins, places and characters related to the French Revolution by starting Place de la Bastille.
If the famous prison has disappeared, some sometimes unusual traces remain in several places, on site and nearby.
Among the key characters discussed during the tour, we will see, among others, Danton, Robespierre, Marat or Olympe de Gouges. The statue of Beaumarchais will allow us to revisit the role of great writers before and during the Revolution. A wall of its theater, built with the stones of the Bastille still exists, a few streets away.
Other discrete traces will be presented along the rue Saint Antoine and surrounding streets, many of whose houses existed during the events. Notably the first female political club or a wall as well as a plaque recalling the entrance to the Force prison. This is where the famous massacres of September 1792 took place.
The visit will allow you to present other buildings related to the Revolution. You will also admire the only statue of a king of France who
survived the revolutionary destruction. The tour will end near the Paris City Hall.
