Discover Renaissance Paris in the 16th century. Around Châtelet and the Louvre, a host of major monuments, as well as lesser-known sites, will be revealed to you and explained.
Characterised by refinement and architectural renewal, the French Renaissance was a period rich in creativity. The century also
saw the birth of the Reformation, which would give rise to much conflict and rebellion. This rift would culminate in the St Bartholomew’s Day Massacre and culminate in the assassination of Henry IV.
Follow, through a century of history, from Francis I to Henry IV, the evolution of the greatest capital in the Western world. Set against a pivotal period in art and culture: the Renaissance.
