About This Experience
Your experience
The not always golden legend of a mythical neighborhood
The walk will highlight the famous cabarets where many artists and songwriters have performed. If many music halls and concert halls remain, anecdotes and photos will revive the disappeared cabarets and understand why Montmartre and its boulevards are world-famous.
From Antwerp to the Place Blanche, magical places, past and present will be revealed, in addition to anecdotes about the many known or anonymous personalities who have frequented them. Indeed, in addition to the charm of the hill, Montmartre has long been a must for revelers and night owls seeking thrills.
The visit will also allow us to revisit the neighborhood’s sulphurous past, a reference point for the underworld and an unmissable meeting place for delinquents and prostitution.
The end of the walk in front of the Moulin Rouge will make you wonder what remains, at the end, of the myth of Pigalle.
