About This Experience

Your experience

The Cité de l'Économie opened its doors in 2019 in the heart of the Hôtel Gaillard, a stone's throw from the Parc Monceau. This economics museum, the only one of its kind in Europe, aims to make economics accessible to all. Through fun and interactive features, young and old alike can learn while having fun! The Cité de l'Économie is also a neo-Renaissance masterpiece, listed as a historic monument.

Come and discover the exceptional history of this place and its transformations over time: first as a private mansion for banker Emile Gaillard in the 19th century, then as a branch of the Banque de France, with its vault and great hall, and finally as a museum deciphering the mechanisms of our contemporary society.

To extend your visit experience, you have access to the boutique-library and Inform Café.
