Bike tour of Monet's gardens and Giverny with picnic stop at the market

About This Experience
Your experience
An unforgettable trip to the heart of French Impressionism: Giverny! This small village about 45 minutes northwest of Paris offers the perfect getaway from the hectic city streets. We'll meet at our office and take a private bus for a relaxing drive through the Normandy countryside to the town of Vernon. There, you'll visit a local farmers' market, then, after a picnic with a view, ride down a 5-kilometer bike path to Monet's home and gardens. Passing magnificent fields of wheat and sunflowers, your guide will explain the history of Impressionism and its founding father, Claude Monet. Here, you'll avoid the queues and have free time to visit the brilliantly colored flowers that cover every square inch of the garden paths, the Japanese bridge and famous water lilies, and his home, which has remained untouched since he last lived there.
