The Cité de l'Histoire is proud to present D-Day, a new theme celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings. This immersive journey through time will transport visitors to the heart of the action on 6 June 1944, thanks to a never-before-seen 360° video projection show. New exhibition areas and a range of interactive and realistic activities will highlight the emblematic figures and key events of the period. Actors will also be taking part in these animations, adding a lively dimension to the experience. The interactive ‘The Corridor of Time’ frieze will be redesigned to illustrate the key moments of the Second World War. The immersive ‘The Key of Centuries’ tour will remain unchanged, taking visitors back in time through 17 emblematic scenes from French history.
